Hello, I have a vintage Eames lounge chair that needs to be restuffed with goose feathers. Is that a service you provide?
When I purchased it, I was told the cushions for the chair are original but the ottoman was reupholstered recently and does not need to be restuffed.
Can you give an estimate based on that description? I can also provide photos if needed, thank you.
Please send photos. The Eames Lounge chairs made before 1964 had natural latex foam rubber lower cores, and a three partition chambered covering of duck down and feathers wrapped over the top. That padding usually lasts without deterioration, and is good for use today. The padding then was not overstuffed like it is today, giving the “used catcher’s mitt” look that Charles Eames extolled. We can reproduce it. I will send you a quote separately.
I have a Herman Miller Chair and Ottoman 1978. The bent wood broke on the lower back. Otherwise the chair was in acceptable condition although I understand the condition had weakened causing the break. I would like to have it repaired to usable condition. It was my 92 year old father’s chair and I love it. I live in Southern Illinois.
We would be happy to help. Please send photos of the broken chair with details of the broken parts on both sides of the breaks (inside and outside of the broken shells, and we can let you know the process and cost for repair. It would take 3-6 weeks, depending on the problems. Thank you.
I have a Plycraft copy of an Eames chair that needs complete reupholstery. The chair was purchased in 91-92. I’m looking for someone in the San Francisco area.
The cushions of the chair screw into the seat and back shells from behind. If you unscrew them and ship them to us in a box without the base, we can reupholster the chair and ship it back to you within 3-4 weeks. The round trip shipping cost is probably less than any local reupholsterer will charge for pickup and delivery. The Plycraft Eames chairs varied a little over the years. If you can send us a photo to our email, email@example.com I can confirm a cost for recovering, in black leather or vinyl. Or would you like something else? Does the base need any repair, is it wobbly?
Thanks for your inquiry, we hope to assist you.

I have two Miller softpad chairs in very good shape except for tears in black leather seat pad. Do you do this kind of work? If not, can you recommend someone?
(Since website was apparently required, I entered the site for the school of which I am dean.
Thanking you in advance for your response.

I was wondering what the price range was for a complete reupholstery of a 1978 Herman Miller Eames Chair & Ottoman might cost. New shock mount too. Thank you
